Understanding your subtype (Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma, DLBCL)
At this patient-centered educational webinar, our lymphoma specialist will provide you with important information about diagnosis, treatments, and the latest advances in research. At the end of the webinar there will be some time allocated for a question and answer period.
DLBCL is an aggressive type of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. This type of NHL is the most common, and accounts for 30-40% of all cases. The average age at diagnosis is 57, but it can also be found in young adults and children.
Dr. Axel Tosikyan
Hematologist-oncologist, Hôpital du Sacre-Cœur
Dr. Tosikyan is a staff hematologist-oncologist at Hôpital du Sacre-Coeur in Montreal since 2006 and Assistant Professor at the Université de Montréal.
Dr. Tosikyan graduated from McGill University in 2006 with certification in both hematology and oncology and also obtained a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. He treats a variety of malignancies , including Lymphoma and is also involved in several clinical trials in the fields of malignant hematology and solid tumors.
