We’re throwing confetti for Resto Allô! Mon Coco and the spaghetti fundraiser they have hosted for the last two years in honour of Nick and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) awareness.

Nick was diagnosed with NHL in 2013 at the age of 50. As with any lymphoma diagnosis, it came as a shock to him, his wife Joanna, and their two children Maria and George. The family supported him through his treatment journey and as of March 2014, Nick is a survivor!

To honour his journey and help others facing the same, Joanna gathered 125 of their friends, family, and community together to raise funds through a delicious four course meal. They charged a flat fee for the meal (they sold out!), gathered some wonderful sponsors, there were individual donors, they sold Nick’s famous meat sauce, and had a raffle draw filled with generous prize packages.

A special part of the evening was when Dan spoke to attendees. Dan is a family friend, mentor, colleague, and lymphoma survivor. He shared his personal story about his own lymphoma cancer journey encouraging and educating all in attendance.

We can’t thank Allô! Mon Coco enough for supporting Lymphoma Canada through their annual fundraiser and by helping us educate the Laval, Quebec community about lymphoma cancer. We look forward to throwing confetti for you every year!
