Surtout au cours des deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les traitements de la LLC se sont consid\u00e9rablement am\u00e9lior\u00e9s au Canada. En raison des nombreux progr\u00e8s accomplis en mati\u00e8re de traitement et de gestion de la LLC, il est tr\u00e8s important de fournir aux patients des informations \u00e0 jour sur cette maladie. Cette activit\u00e9 \u00e9ducative offrira \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 franco-canadienne de la LLC des renseignements actualis\u00e9s sur :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>le diagnostic de la LLC<\/li>\n<li>les raisons qui justifient de ne pas toujours recommander de traitements imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s la pose du diagnostic (ex.\u00a0: l\u2019attente sous surveillance)<\/li>\n<li>les options th\u00e9rapeutiques actuelles de premi\u00e8re ligne<\/li>\n<li>les options th\u00e9rapeutiques actuelles contre une LLC r\u00e9cidivante ou r\u00e9fractaire<\/li>\n<li>les nouvelles th\u00e9rapies contre la LLC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conf\u00e9renci\u00e8re <\/strong>: Dre Nathalie Johnson<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biographies <\/strong>: <em>La<\/em> <em>Dre Nathalie Johnson, h\u00e9matologue, traite les patients atteints d\u2019un lymphome ou d\u2019une LLC. Elle s\u2019int\u00e9resse particuli\u00e8rement aux lymphomes qui surviennent chez les adolescents et les jeunes adultes. Apr\u00e8s avoir compl\u00e9t\u00e9 sa formation clinique en h\u00e9matologie et en oncologie \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 McGill, elle obtient son Ph. D. en pathologie \u00e0 la British Columbia Cancer Agency en 2010. Depuis lors, la Dre Johnson effectue des recherches cliniques et translationnelles \u00e0 l\u2019H\u00f4pital g\u00e9n\u00e9ral juif de Montr\u00e9al. Elle est \u00e9galement professeure agr\u00e9g\u00e9e aux d\u00e9partements de m\u00e9decine et d\u2019oncologie de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 McGill.
