Certains types de LNH restent souvent latents pendant longtemps, n\u00e9cessitant peu ou pas de traitement, tandis que d\u2019autres types de LNH requi\u00e8rent un traitement imm\u00e9diat. Comme vous l\u2019apprendrez dans vos lectures sur la chimioth\u00e9rapie, il existe de nombreuses fa\u00e7ons diff\u00e9rentes d\u2019attaquer les cellules se divisant rapidement et donc de nombreux types diff\u00e9rents de chimioth\u00e9rapie. Certains types de m\u00e9dicaments chimioth\u00e9rapeutiques interagissent avec des r\u00e9cepteurs se trouvant \u00e0 la surface de cellules canc\u00e9reuses, certains endommagent les structures cellulaires n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la division cellulaire et certains encore ciblent l\u2019ADN de la cellule canc\u00e9reuse, le mat\u00e9riel g\u00e9n\u00e9tique de la cellule.<\/p>\n<p>Du fait que toutes ces fa\u00e7ons diff\u00e9rentes ont le m\u00eame but, la mort des cellules canc\u00e9reuses, les m\u00e9dicaments chimioth\u00e9rapeutiques sont souvent donn\u00e9s en combinaison dans le but d\u2019attaquer les cellules lymphomateuses sous tous les angles possibles, afin d\u2019augmenter les chances d\u2019obtenir la r\u00e9mission. Les combinaisons de chimioth\u00e9rapies sont souvent connues par les initiales des noms des m\u00e9dicaments qui les composent. Les deux combinaisons les plus courantes utilis\u00e9es dans le LNH s\u2019appellent <strong>CHOP<\/strong> et <strong>CVP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>CHOP repr\u00e9sente une combinaison de quatre m\u00e9dicaments, \u00e0 savoir, trois m\u00e9dicaments chimioth\u00e9rapeutiques et un m\u00e9dicament \u00e0 base de st\u00e9ro\u00efdes\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>C<\/strong>yclophosphamide<\/li>\n<li>Doxorubicine (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9e <strong>H<\/strong>ydroxydaunorubicine)<\/li>\n<li>Vincristine (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9e <strong>O<\/strong>ncovin)<\/li>\n<li><strong>P<\/strong>rednisone (m\u00e9dicament \u00e0 base de st\u00e9ro\u00efdes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CVP est une combinaison de deux m\u00e9dicaments chimioth\u00e9rapeutiques et d\u2019un st\u00e9ro\u00efde\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>C<\/strong>yclophosphamide<\/li>\n<li><strong>V<\/strong>incristine (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9e Oncovin)<\/li>\n<li><strong>P<\/strong>rednisone (m\u00e9dicament \u00e0 base de st\u00e9ro\u00efdes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les m\u00e9dicaments \u00e0 base de st\u00e9ro\u00efdes sont inclus dans ces r\u00e9gimes, car ils constituent des th\u00e9rapies efficaces pour le lymphome et peuvent rapidement r\u00e9guler les sympt\u00f4mes du LNH.<\/p>\n<p>Le type de chimioth\u00e9rapie que re\u00e7oit un patient souffrant du LNH d\u00e9pend d\u2019un certain nombre de facteurs, parmi lesquels\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>le type de LNH;<\/li>\n<li>la cat\u00e9gorie du LNH (indolent ou agressif);<\/li>\n<li>le stade du LNH;<\/li>\n<li>s\u2019il s\u2019agit du premier traitement du LNH pour le patient ou si le LNH a r\u00e9cidiv\u00e9 apr\u00e8s la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente th\u00e9rapie;<\/li>\n<li>les sympt\u00f4mes ressentis par le patient;<\/li>\n<li>l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du patient, comprenant l\u2019\u00e2ge, les ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents m\u00e9dicaux et la vitalit\u00e9 (souvent appel\u00e9e \u00e9tat de performance du patient);<\/li>\n<li>les recommandations de l\u2019oncologue;<\/li>\n<li>le choix et la participation du patient relativement au processus de d\u00e9cision du traitement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Souvenez-vous que vous \u00eates un partenaire dans le traitement de votre maladie et il est donc important de comprendre votre plan de traitement \u2013 pour celui que vous recevrez sous peu et pour un \u00e9ventuel traitement ult\u00e9rieur, en cas de n\u00e9cessit\u00e9.
