Une personne peut avoir des pr\u00e9dispositions g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques ou la maladie peut \u00eatre d\u00e9clench\u00e9e par un facteur environnemental comme la pollution. Toutefois, il n\u2019existe aucune preuve suffisante permettant de fournir une r\u00e9ponse certaine. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que certains lymphomes non hodgkiniens du tube digestif tels que les lymphomes du tissu lympho\u00efde associ\u00e9 aux muqueuses peuvent \u00eatre provoqu\u00e9s par une infection \u00e0\u00a0<em>Helicobacter pylori<\/em>.
