Les styles les plus courants sont\u00a0: iyengar, ashtanga, vini, kundalini et bikram. Le hatha\u00a0yoga est le type le plus fr\u00e9quemment pratiqu\u00e9 dans les pays occidentaux; il met l&rsquo;accent sur les positions et les exercices de respiration.<\/p>\n<p>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que le yoga r\u00e9duit le niveau de stress, l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et la d\u00e9pression ainsi que la fatigue chez les survivantes du cancer du sein. Il serait \u00e9galement associ\u00e9 \u00e0 une meilleure qualit\u00e9 de vie. D&rsquo;autres \u00e9tudes de recherche ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que le yoga am\u00e9liore la respiration, le m\u00e9tabolisme, la tension art\u00e9rielle et la fr\u00e9quence cardiaque. Cet art est parfois appel\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0m\u00e9ditation en mouvement\u00a0\u00bb. De fa\u00e7on similaire, le qi\u00a0gong d\u00e9coule de la m\u00e9decine traditionnelle chinoise et associe mouvements physiques lents, respiration profonde et concentration mentale.
