De nombreuses \u00e9tudes ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l\u2019embonpoint et l&rsquo;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 un risque accru de cancer du rein, de la glande thyro\u00efde, de la v\u00e9sicule biliaire, de l&rsquo;\u0153sophage, du pancr\u00e9as, du c\u00f4lon, du rectum, du sein (apr\u00e8s la m\u00e9nopause) et de l&rsquo;ut\u00e9rus. Un surplus de poids est \u00e9galement associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un risque plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 d&rsquo;apparition des cancers suivants\u00a0: lymphomes non\u00a0hodgkiniens, my\u00e9lome\u00a0multiple, cancer du col de l&rsquo;ut\u00e9rus, cancer de l&rsquo;ovaire et cancer agressif de la prostate.<\/p>\n<p>Le poids sant\u00e9 est habituellement mesur\u00e9 au moyen de l&rsquo;indice de masse corporelle (IMC), qui est le calcul du poids (en kilogrammes) divis\u00e9 par la taille (en m\u00e8tres) au carr\u00e9 (m2). Discutez de votre IMC avec l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de soins; elle vous aidera \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer si vous vous situez dans l&rsquo;intervalle sain ou bien dans les intervalles \u00ab\u00a0embonpoint\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0ob\u00e9sit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Pour atteindre ou maintenir un poids sant\u00e9, il faut r\u00e9duire sa consommation alimentaire et augmenter son activit\u00e9 physique. Vous pouvez r\u00e9duire votre consommation alimentaire en diminuant votre apport calorique quotidien. Essayez de diminuer la taille de vos portions \u00e0 chaque repas et de limiter le nombre de collations que vous mangez tout au long de la journ\u00e9e. Choisissez des aliments faibles en mati\u00e8res grasses et en sucres ajout\u00e9s, mais qui sont riches en nutriments, tels des fruits, des l\u00e9gumes et des grains entiers. Essayez d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer suffisamment d&rsquo;activit\u00e9 physique d&rsquo;intensit\u00e9 vigoureuse ou mod\u00e9r\u00e9e tout au long de la semaine afin de br\u00fbler les calories que vous consommez.<\/p>\n<p>Il est possible que vous ayez perdu passablement de poids \u00e0 cause de la perte d&rsquo;app\u00e9tit due au traitement de votre lymphome, si bien que votre poids pourrait \u00eatre insuffisant. Il est important de reprendre votre poids sant\u00e9 en faisant des exercices de musculation et de retrouver votre app\u00e9tit.
