What does one do when they&rsquo;re told they have cancer &#8211; or even worse, lymphoma? <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fontFaceBig\">par Robin Harry<\/h3>\n<div class=\"sfsBlogContent\">\n<p>Je commence par une question. Qu\u2019est-ce vous feriez si vous appreniez que vous avez le cancer, et pire encore, un lymphome?<\/p>\n<p>Eh bien! si vous \u00eates comme moi (et je ne le souhaite \u00e0 personne), vous continueriez \u00e0 vivre votre vie. Accepter sans sourciller, recueillir de l\u2019information, en appeler aux amis, s\u2019en remettre \u00e0 la foi pour ceux qui ont des croyances (Dieu merci, j\u2019ai J\u00e9sus), et continuer son petit bonhomme de chemin. Mais la douleur qui persiste rappelle que les jours \u00e0 venir seront difficiles.<\/p>\n<p>Mon amie RT croyait que ce serait une bonne id\u00e9e de tenir un blogue, simplement pour raconter les hauts et les bas de cette aventure&nbsp;: le diagnostic, la r\u00e9action (la mienne et celle de ma famille), les traitements, les bonnes et les mauvaises journ\u00e9es. Je commence donc le journal de mon cancer en remontant au d\u00e9but, et en vous faisant conna\u00eetre \u00e0 tous, dans la blogosph\u00e8re, comment cette aventure a commenc\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 la mi-mai 2011, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 ressentir des douleurs thoraciques. Je suis all\u00e9e consulter, puis quelques jours apr\u00e8s, j\u2019ai pass\u00e9 un ECG, puis une radiographie pulmonaire. Les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019ECG n\u2019\u00e9taient pas bons, puisque je faisais une p\u00e9ricardite aigu\u00eb, en somme, une inflammation de l\u2019enveloppe fibreuse portant mon c\u0153ur. C\u2019\u00e9tait facile \u00e0 soigner&nbsp;: j\u2019ai pris des doses \u00e9lev\u00e9es d\u2019Ibuprof\u00e8ne et tout \u00e9tait bien. Sauf qu\u2019une semaine plus tard, le docteur a pass\u00e9 la radiographie en revue, et a d\u00e9cel\u00e9 une masse dans mon thorax.<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, j\u2019ai pass\u00e9 une batterie de tests, dont une biopsie chirurgicale (une m\u00e9diastinoscopie pour \u00eatre pr\u00e9cise), pour lesquels j\u2019ai re\u00e7u les r\u00e9sultats il y a une semaine. La masse \u00e9tait une tumeur canc\u00e9reuse, un lymphome diffus \u00e0 grandes cellules B. C\u2019est un lymphome de type non hodgkinien, peu diff\u00e9renci\u00e9 (il grossit vite), et agressif, mais traitable, \u00e0 condition d\u2019\u00eatre pris en charge rapidement. Je commence le traitement \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s au moment o\u00f9 j\u2019\u00e9cris <em>MDR<\/em>&nbsp;: je commence la chimioth\u00e9rapie la semaine prochaine, puis apr\u00e8s, la radioth\u00e9rapie.<\/p>\n<p>Le cancer en est encore aux premiers stades&nbsp;: \u00e0 ce qu\u2019on sait, il ne s\u2019est pas encore propag\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u2019autres parties du corps, ce qui doit toutefois \u00eatre confirm\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un autre tomodensitogramme (TDM). Mis \u00e0 part les sympt\u00f4mes dus \u00e0 sa localisation (toux, douleurs thoraciques passag\u00e8res, essoufflement), je ne ressens toujours rien! Le pronostic est donc plut\u00f4t bon. En fait, on s\u2019inqui\u00e8te surtout des effets et probl\u00e8mes secondaires que peuvent causer la chimioth\u00e9rapie et la radioth\u00e9rapie&nbsp;: infertilit\u00e9, perte de cheveux, myocardiopathie, m\u00e9tastases, etc., mais les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices l\u2019emporteront sur tout \u00e7a, n\u2019est-ce pas?<\/p>\n<p>Ma foi en Dieu m\u2019a jusqu\u2019ici permis de passer \u00e0 travers tout \u00e7a, et je crois pleinement en Lui. Je sais que ce sera une route parsem\u00e9e d\u2019emb\u00fbches, mais comme IL a promis de ne jamais donner \u00e0 ses enfants plus qu\u2019ils ne peuvent en supporter sans leur fournir une porte de sortie, je sais que je peux avoir confiance. Quand Lazare \u00e9tait malade, J\u00e9sus a dit \u00e0 ses disciples&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Cette maladie n&rsquo;est point \u00e0 la mort; mais elle est pour la gloire de Dieu, afin que le Fils de Dieu soit glorifi\u00e9 par elle.
