{"id":8677,"date":"2020-10-18T22:46:59","date_gmt":"2020-10-18T22:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lymphoma.ca\/?p=8677"},"modified":"2020-10-18T22:50:13","modified_gmt":"2020-10-18T22:50:13","slug":"subvention-de-recherche-2020-de-lymphome-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lymphoma.ca\/fr\/subvention-de-recherche-2020-de-lymphome-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Subvention de recherche 2020 de Lymphome Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>R\u00e9cipiendaires de la bourse de recherche 2020 <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>C\u2019est avec grand plaisir que nous vous annon\u00e7ons le nom des b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires de la subvention de recherche 2020 de Lymphome Canada\u00a0: les Drs Rob Laister et Sam Saibil, membres du Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.\u00a0Le Dr Laister est titulaire d\u2019un doctorat en biophysique m\u00e9dicale, chef de groupe et collaborateur scientifique au Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Quant au Dr Sam Saibil, il poss\u00e8de une licence de m\u00e9decine et un doctorat en immunologie. Il est \u00e9galement oncologue et membre du personnel de la Division d\u2019oncologie m\u00e9dicale et d\u2019h\u00e9matologie du Princess Margaret Cancer Centre de m\u00eame que professeur adjoint au d\u00e9partement de m\u00e9decine de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Toronto. Les Drs Laister et Saibil s\u2019int\u00e9ressent particuli\u00e8rement aux traitements cibl\u00e9s des h\u00e9mopathies malignes en plus de collaborer pour faire avancer la recherche sur la th\u00e9rapie CAR T-cell.<\/p>\n<p>La th\u00e9rapie CAR T-cell, ou th\u00e9rapie par lymphocytes T porteurs de r\u00e9cepteurs antig\u00e9niques chim\u00e9riques, est un type d\u2019immunoth\u00e9rapie qui modifie les cellules T d\u2019un patient pour mieux d\u00e9tecter un lymphome et le d\u00e9truire. Faisant partie du syst\u00e8me immunitaire de l\u2019organisme, les lymphocytes T sont une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de globules blancs qui s\u2019attaquent aux cellules infect\u00e9es par un virus, aux cellules \u00e9trang\u00e8res et aux cellules canc\u00e9reuses. Une fois inject\u00e9es \u00e0 un patient, les CAR T-cells sont programm\u00e9es pour se d\u00e9velopper, rechercher les cellules du lymphome du patient et les d\u00e9truire.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame si certains patients r\u00e9pondent tr\u00e8s bien \u00e0 la th\u00e9rapie CAR-T et que leur maladie entre en r\u00e9mission, ce n\u2019est pas le cas pour tous, et on ne sait pas pourquoi. Au Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, les Drs Rob Laister et Sam Saibil \u00e9tudient pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment cette question. Dans votre corps, les cellules T peuvent se pr\u00e9senter, comme les automobiles, sous diff\u00e9rents mod\u00e8les, chacune ayant un r\u00f4le et des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s qui diff\u00e8rent l\u00e9g\u00e8rement. Or, les CAR T-cells, actuellement utilis\u00e9es en clinique, ne constituent qu\u2019un mod\u00e8le de base de cellules T. Mais on ignore si ce mod\u00e8le est le meilleur pour combattre les cellules de lymphome. L\u2019objectif de ce projet de recherche consiste \u00e0 \u00e9tablir si l\u2019\u00e9quipe de chercheurs peut concevoir des mod\u00e8les plus avanc\u00e9s de CAR T-cell, susceptibles de d\u00e9truire plus efficacement les cellules du lymphome.
