As the fifth most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canada, it is vital that we dedicate funding to lymphoma research. Donations to Lymphoma Canada in support of Giving Tuesday will be allocated to the Lymphoma Canada research grants which support small, well-defined research studies that have the potential to effect improvements in healthcare, health systems, and health outcomes for lymphoma patients.
This year, thanks to the support of our generous donors, the Lymphoma Canada Research Grant helped fund Dr. Abi Vijenthira’s research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, comparing the risks of second cancer between chemo-immunotherapy and non-chemotherapy treatments in CLL.
