If you are planning to return to school and are seeking some financial support, you may qualify for a number of Canadian scholarships and bursaries that are offered through your school, your local cancer centre, or a number of charitable organizations. Here are a few that you may be interested in looking into:

Emmy Duff Scholarship Foundation: Scholarships are provided for cancer-surviving students attending College or University in Canada and who have demonstrated an ongoing volunteer commitment to causes that are important to them. Visit http://www.emmyduffscholarship.org/ for more information.

Survivorship Scholarship Program: Childhood Cancer Canada Foundation provides scholarships to young adult cancer survivors for their post-secondary education. They recognize the personal triumphs of exemplary students who have survived a childhood cancer journey (diagnosed age 18 years or younger). More information can be found at http://www.childhoodcancer.ca/get-help/survivor-scholarship-program.

There may be other relevant scholarships or bursaries that you may qualify for. Your Student Affairs Office should be able to provide you with more information.
