Support in any form allows you to talk about your feelings and develop coping skills. Support can involve one-on-one counseling, group counseling, and support groups – these options allow you to find the type of support that you are most comfortable with. A counselor can offer you one-on-one attention, while the camaraderie of a support group can be a powerful tool for both patients and families. Others have also found that spirituality can be a source of strength and many will often turn to their spiritual leader or counselor.
