Welcome to the Southwestern Ontario Chapter

Stronger together

If you’re dealing with lymphoma, you don’t have to do it alone. The Southwestern Ontario Chapter is a local volunteer-based group run by and for the lymphoma community. We are lymphoma patients, family members, and caregivers in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area. We meet regularly to connect with others who face the same challenges. To learn about treatments, share our experiences and offer mutual support. To be stronger together.

Get connected. Join us at our next meeting.

Educational Event

Moving through the lymphoma journey can be a challenging process; you are instantly transported into a new way of life as you move through your diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care or survivorship. There are many resources that you can rely on to cope throughout your lymphoma journey. Each of us has our own inner strength and set of personalized practices that we use to maintain our wellbeing and health through our cancer experience. At this session, we are going to discuss what these resources are!

Have a pen and paper ready as you work through practical exercises that will help identify your own unique ways of bringing meaning and quality to your life throughout your cancer journey. This practice of self-discovery can help you take back some control of the important things and help you on your healing journey. This evening, Robin McQuillan and Cheryl Alexander will lead the discussion and activities based on various programs that they used in their own healing following their diagnosis with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
