If you’re dealing with lymphoma, you don’t have to do it alone. The Southwestern Ontario Chapter is a local volunteer-based group run by and for the lymphoma community. We are lymphoma patients, family members, and caregivers in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area. We meet regularly to connect with others who face the same challenges. To learn about treatments, share our experiences and offer mutual support. To be stronger together.
Get connected. Join us at our next meeting.

Oral Complications from Lymphoma Treatments
Treatments for cancer, and in particular for lymphoma, can have a wide range of side effects that can impact a patient’s quality of life. Patients with cancer may experience mouth or oral problems before, during, or after cancer treatment. The most common mouth problems for patients with cancer can include mouth sores, change in taste, dry mouth or lips, tooth and gum problems, and difficulty swallowing. Many mouth problems caused by cancer treatment often will get better over time with proper care and treatment.
Dr. Erin Watson, a general dentist who specializes in treating cancer patients at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, presents on the oral health challenges of cancer treatments and provides guidance and recommendations on how to manage the oral health side-effects from lymphoma treatments.
