Webinar Date and Time: Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 5:00 – 6:00 pm EST

Lymphoma is a disease of the blood but the mind is also impacted at each stage of the cancer experience—from diagnosis to treatment. Going through a lymphoma or CLL diagnosis and, later, treatment can affect a person’s day-to-day schedule in many ways. Sometimes there are major disruptions and sometimes smaller issues, that many wouldn’t even think of. Care for your lymphoma can get in the way of daily tasks or even put your life on hold.

There are many different aspects of dealing with cancer, and in each stage of the experience, there can be many areas of concern such as income support, drug coverage, caring for children, and day-to-day tasks at home. It can also affect your mental health and daily coping strategy. These effects can occur individually, in conjunction with each other, and sometimes, all at once.

Integrative cancer care is a combination of the best approaches to optimize a patient’s health, help the body and mind heal, encourage remission and wellbeing, and support the whole process throughout. It focuses on the patient as a whole, not just their lymphoma or CLL treatment, but their whole life: physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and lifestyle. Proper cancer care should be an integration of different techniques and resources that work together to optimize health outcomes and wellbeing, improve the patient’s functioning and coping throughout their journey, and achieve a high quality of life throughout. Integrative care values treating the individual – the person with cancer vs the cancer itself.

This webinar will provide an introduction to integrative cancer care and share resources that are available for patients to implement an integrative approach to their lymphoma or CLL journey, ensuring their health, wellbeing, and quality of life are maintained.
