SouthWestern Ontario Chapter Meeting – May 5, 2021
Welcome to the Southwestern Ontario Chapter
Stronger together
If you’re dealing with lymphoma, you don’t have to do it alone. The Southwestern Ontario Chapter is a local volunteer-based group run by and for the lymphoma community. We are lymphoma patients, family members, and caregivers in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area. We meet regularly to connect with others who face the same challenges. To learn about treatments, share our experiences and offer mutual support. To be stronger together.
Get connected. Join us at our next meeting.

The Southwestern Ontario Chapter is going VIRTUAL!
Ever wonder what other lymphoma patients and caregivers across Canada are experiencing throughout their lymphoma journey? Are these experiences similar when compared with the rest of the world? Learn how your experiences compare with others in Canada and around the world, by joining this upcoming education session presented by Natalie Dren, the Research Manager with Lymphoma Coalition. Lymphoma Coalition is a worldwide network of patient groups that provide support for lymphoma patients. It is a central hub of consistent and reliable information and provides patient groups with the ability to share resources, best practices, policies, and procedures.
Every two years, Lymphoma Coalition releases a fulsome global survey to learn from lymphoma and CLL patients, and caregivers about their experiences and the impacts of treatment and care. Recently, the 2020 Global Patient Survey on Lymphoma and CLL was conducted, with responses received from 91 countries. There were 540 patients and 63 caregivers from Canada who shared their experiences. This valuable feedback provides information and support to others and further drives planning, actions, and support programs through patient groups.
