Lymphoma Canada is proud to recognize Graeme Kirkland as a Platinum Sponsor of the 15th Annual Par for the Cure Golf Tournament, taking place on July 13, 2026, at Nobleton Lakes Golf Club.
Graeme’s support reflects more than a commitment to community giving. It is rooted in personal experiences with cancer and a desire to help others facing similar challenges.
Over the years, Graeme has witnessed the impact cancer can have on individuals and families. Among those closest to him was a dear friend and accomplished athlete who was diagnosed with blood cancer and passed away shortly thereafter. Like many Canadians, Graeme has experienced the grief, uncertainty, and heartbreak that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.
“I’ve experienced personally the pain that can happen associated with blood cancer and other types of cancer,” he shared. “It’s an awful thing, and if we can do something that’s good, then I think that’s a good thing.“
Those experiences have inspired Graeme to support organizations working to improve the lives of patients and families. Through his Platinum Sponsorship of Par for the Cure, he is helping Lymphoma Canada continue its mission to empower patients and the lymphoma community through education, support, advocacy, and research.
When asked what motivates him to give back, Graeme’s answer was simple.
“Hopefully many other people will feel less pain.“
For Graeme, Par for the Cure represents a unique opportunity to combine community, connection, and purpose. The tournament brings together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, patients, and supporters for a memorable day while helping fund programs and initiatives that make a meaningful difference for Canadians affected by lymphoma.
“You can have a wonderful experience while helping others do good,” he said. “People can come together, enjoy a great day, and support an important cause.“
Graeme will participate in the tournament alongside what he affectionately calls his “super team,” helping create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone attending.
While discussing Lymphoma Canada’s work in education, support programs, advocacy, and research, Graeme explained that he sees value in every aspect of the organization’s mission.
“That’s kind of like asking a parent which child they love most,” he said. “They’re all important for different people.“
His message to other business leaders considering charitable involvement is equally straightforward: “If it’s something you’re passionate about, then just do it.”
As we celebrate the 15th Annual Par for the Cure Golf Tournament, we are grateful for supporters like Graeme Kirkland whose generosity and commitment help strengthen the lymphoma community across Canada.
To patients, caregivers, and families affected by lymphoma, Graeme offers a message of hope and perspective: “Count your blessings and embrace each day as a gift.”
Thank you, Graeme, for your continued support of Lymphoma Canada and for helping create a brighter future for Canadians affected by lymphoma.
