6th Annual National Patient Conference on Lymphoma & CLL

– Virtual Event

Tuesday, October 18 to Thursday, October 20 (4 pm – 6:30 pm) EST

Lymphoma Canada is excited to host our 6th Annual National Patient Conference! This patient-focused free educational event will be held virtually and include presentations by expert faculty and specialists across Canada. Topics range from disease and treatment-specific information, the importance of knowing your lymphoma subtype, how to speak with your friends and family about the disease, and COVID-19 updates for patients. This can all be learned from the comfort of your home with our virtual platform.

Overview

Following the success of our in-person annual patient conferences, Lymphoma Canada explored another avenue to provide conference education through a live virtual program in 2020 and 2021 due to the unprecedented nature of the global pandemic. With the pandemic still on horizon, it is essential that immunocompromised patients continue to receive up-to-date information and research on lymphoma/CLL and survivorship topics while ensuring their safety. Much success was found in delivering conference education in a virtual environment, with 2-3x increase in registration, greater availability for live attendance and on-demand access, and easy access to Lymphoma Canada online resources. From the comfort and safety of their own homes, Lymphoma Canada can increase the educational opportunities available to those in more remote areas of the country who would not normally have been able to attend due to financial, health or travel reasons. Further, the national conference is provided completely free for patients and caregivers through this virtual format. On October 18 – 20, 2022, this patient-focused educational conference will provide presentations by expert speaking faculty from across Canada about disease and treatment specific information, the latest advances in lymphoma research, and important information on health and wellness for lymphoma patients. With over 450 registrants in 2021, including families and friends logging in with the patient, we project >500 patients, family members and healthcare providers to attend the 2022 conference.

The conference program and topics have been selected, but may be subject to change. Time and dates are tentative. Speakers are currently TBD.
