She developed a comprehensive understanding of the needs of lymphoma patients in Canada during her eight-year tenure at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada in the capacity of National Director of Development & Marketing. She has also held the positions of Regional Director, Ontario, of Kids Help Phone and Development Director of Second Harvest in Toronto.

Sophie began her fundraising career in the Jewish community in Montreal over fifteen years ago. In the years to follow, she has held positions at the State of Israel Bonds, the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre, Na'amat Canada Montreal, YM-YWHA West Island JCC, and most recently Executive Director of The Reconstructionist Synagogue of Montreal. Elizabeth has extensive academic and research experience in the fields of immunology and cancer biology. She completed her B.Sc. in Immunology at McGill University and carried out her doctoral research at the University of Toronto, where she worked with world-renowned researchers at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. More recently, Elizabeth worked as a Medical Editor for the development of educational and support resources for cancer patients and is passionate about helping people build knowledge and confidence to actively participate in their health and wellness.
