7th Annual Laps Around Lymphoma

Join us in taking 100,000 steps to support the more than 100,000 Canadians living with lymphoma.

As the only Canadian organization dedicated solely to lymphoma cancers, we are proud of the impact we’ve made for the past 28 years in supporting, educating, and advocating for lymphoma patients and in supporting research focused on improving outcomes for lymphoma patients.

Lymphoma is the 5th most common cancer in Canada, and the most common cancer diagnosis amongst the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) population (age 15-29).

As we continue to advance our mission to empower patients and the lymphoma community this year, we are thrilled to again host our Laps Around Lymphoma walk event.  The starting day of this walk is on September 15 which is World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD).  Join us for a fun fitness and awareness challenge.

This virtual fitness challenge is open to Canadians nationwide!

Join us from all over the country and track your steps on the app. 

Through this fitness challenge, we aim to raise awareness about lymphoma and to raise funds for lymphoma programs and resources. Participants are challenged to take 100,000 steps in honour of the more than 100,000 Canadians currently living with lymphoma. Prizes are available for those who take the most steps and for those who fundraise the most.

Participants have the option to register as either a lymphoma patient or community participant. Prizes are available for top racers in both registration categories. We ask that if you are undergoing treatment, are in recovery, or currently identify as a lymphoma patient in any way that you select this category. All other supporters are invited to register as community participants.

Funds from Laps Around Lymphoma will help to provide support for patients and their families as well as educational resources, such as webinars, national conferences, and lymphoma patient guides. It will assist our advocacy efforts focused on equitable access to innovative therapies across Canada and help to fund lymphoma research.

When: September 15 ‐ September 30, 2026

Where: Anywhere across our beautiful country.

 

Prizes: Participants in the Laps Around Lymphoma challenge will be eligible to win early bird, top fundraiser and top challenger prizes. There will also be opportunities to win additional prizes throughout the two-week challenge as we will be hosting surprise contests for participants.

Contests and Prizes:
  • Best Purple Picture
  • Top Fundraiser: prizes are awarded to the top 5 fundraisers as of September 30, 2026, regardless of their participant category.
  • The most fundraised Team
  • Top challenger: prizes will be awarded to both the top three patient participants and top three community participants who take the most steps between September 15 and 30, 2026 in their respective participant category.

In Challenge Contests:

  • The most fundraised in one day Individual – on Sep 20th. 
  • The most fundraised during the weekend – on Sep 27th/28th 

Additional contests and challenges will be announced throughout the challenge.
