Managing Fear of Recurrence Google+ Hangout

On Wednesday, October 30th, Marita Poll hosted a live LC Hangout on “Managing Fear of Recurrence”.

Marita is a Clinical Counsellor for the Patient and Family Counselling Services at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver Island Centre. She is also a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and provides individual and couples counselling in-person, by phone, or on Skype. Some of her areas of specialization includes:

  • Living with cancer – for patients and their families at any stage of this experience
  • Living with other health issues – e.g., MS, ALS, arthritis, AIDS
  • Grief and loss
  • Communication and relationship difficulties
  • Self-esteem
  • Depression and anxiety

During the Google+ hangout, Marita present on Trauma Theory and Fear of Recurrence and will leave some time at the end of the hangout for questions from participants in the hangout and viewers watching live.

How you can join:

Only individuals with a Google account can join a Google+ Hangout. Sign up for a Google Account.  The Google+ Hangout is only open to the first 10 participants who join. If you are participating in the hangout, please note that it is a live event and the final hangout video will be posted on Lymphoma Canada’s YouTube page.

You can watch the Hangout live on Wednesday, October 30th at 12:00 p.m. PST on the Lymphoma Canada Google+ page or YouTube page. The Hangout will last for 90 minutes with the last 30 minutes open for Q&A.
