Lymphoma Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of our new CEO, Robin Markowitz. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the charitable sector including 11 years working in health-related charities.

Lymphoma Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of our new CEO, Robin Markowitz. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the charitable sector including 11 years working in health-related charities.

This is a newly created position, a significant step to bring Lymphoma Canada to the next level. “I am confident that Robin’s record of professionalism, success and strong leadership will serve our organization extremely well as we work together to expand our services and support more lymphoma patients.” says Paul Weingarten,  Chair of LC’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Markowitz received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland. She earned the designation of CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) in 2001 and has recertified three times. She also holds certificates in Public Relations and Advanced Volunteer Management from The University of Toronto and Humber College respectively. “I am honored to have been selected by the Lymphoma Canada to be its first CEO,” Markowitz said. “I look forward to working with the broad base of professionals, patients, volunteers and advocates who have been tireless in their efforts to support and empower the lymphoma community.”

In addition to her work experience with non-profit organizations, Ms. Markowitz is also an active volunteer with significant experience as a Board and committee member. Currently she serves on the board of The Bernard Betel Centre.
