The annual Par for the Cure golf tournament will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Carrying Place Golf & Country Club 16750 Weston Rd, King City ON. There are a number of opportunities to support Lymphoma Canada and participate in this fun event. Proceeds will support patient programs as well as our ongoing commitment to fund lymphoma research and advocate for access to effective therapies for lymphoma patients in Canada.

This event aims to provide a premium, warm, welcoming, and fun day for all. Volunteers are a big part of this important goal. We need you to make this day special. We Thank You for all your work and time!

  • Registration table
  • Swag bag distribution
  • Drink ticket distribution
  • Floaters

General Overview – Schedule may be: 
10:00 am – Volunteer Briefing (meet at registration area)
11:00 – 12:30 pm – Registration
11:30 – 1:15 pm – Lunch for Golfers
1:30 pm – Tee-off
6:30 – 7:30 pm – Post Event Cocktail Hour and Prize Ceremony at the Clubhouse

1. Volunteer Hours: 

We need your help for some or all of the day (9:45 am to 7:30 pm). Lunch for volunteers will be served after the golfers are on the course at approximately 13:30 PM except for those required at positions on the course earlier.

Please meet us at registration so we can brief you on your role(s) and transport you to your spot on the course, if you have one.

3. Dress: 

  • Top: Purple Volunteer Shirt (will be provided)
  • Bottoms: No Jeans or cut-off shorts *Club-appropriate attire
  • Shoes: Comfortable Shoes
  • Please prepare yourself for the weather! Bring sunscreen, a hat, a rain jacket, and an umbrella.

4. What to Bring: 
For those volunteers with roles on the golf course, breaks will be given at appropriate times. Umbrellas and/or tents will be provided. You must have a cellphone and the correct contact number provided to event leads so we can keep in touch with you (cellphones on vibrate).

5. Golf Etiquette: 
No speaking while the golfers are hitting, cell phones must be on vibrate during the event, please do not leave garbage on the course, and please leave all golf balls on the course unless asked. Follow all golf course rules as posted. Please park at the back of the parking lot.

*6. Event Briefing:
*Please meet at the registration table upon arrival for the event briefing. The briefing will take place at 10:00 am sharp and all volunteers are asked to attend.
