DR. Sarit Assouline

Dr. Sarit Assouline is a hematologist at the Jewish General Hospital, and an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill University. She specializes in the treatment of hematological malignancies, leukemia and lymphoma in particular. Her research interests lie in the clinical development of new therapies for the treatment of these cancers. She has conducted or participated in over 100 clinical trials in leukemia and lymphoma, and has published widely on the subject. She is currently the associate director of the Clinical Research Unit, Segal Cancer Center of the Jewish General Hospital. In addition, she has recently been appointed the co-chair of the hematology disease site group for the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG), and the leukemia co-chair. In this new role, she is involved in the development of academic clinical trials for leukemia and lymphoma for patients across Canada. Dr. Assouline is also a Chercheur Clinicien, funded by the FRSQ (Fonds de recherche en santé du Québec) since 2010.
