Description
The Annual Par for the Cure Golf Tournament is a 1-day fundraising event on August 20th, 2013. The committee is comprised of knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and committed individuals who provide support in the planning of the golf tournament but most importantly soliciting sponsorships.
Responsibilities
Committee members are required to attend regular planning meetings and assist with seeking out sponsorship opportunities and soliciting auction items for the event, which generally involves between 5 to 10 hours per month. Members will also help plan and execute logistics for the event and work with the LC staff to identify prospects and relationships.
Qualifications
A passion for volunteering and for making a difference in the lives of those touched by lymphoma
Collaborative interpersonal and teamwork skills
Organizational skills, with experience in planning and executing events
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Interest in event planning and execution experience
Intimate knowledge of own community
Creative problem solver, with an ability to think “outside of the box”.
