2021 World Lymphoma Awareness Day
This World Lymphoma Awareness Day join the global lymphoma community to say We Can’t Wait to put an end to the unintended consequences the pandemic has had on the lymphoma community.
Around the world, people have faced reduced access to care, treatment, and support. As well, due to a lack of access to medical professionals and hesitancy in seeking medical attention when experiencing symptoms, there have been fewer diagnoses, and more advanced cancers are expected.
- We can’t wait to take care of our own health. If you notice signs or symptoms of lymphoma, do not delay and speak to your healthcare team.
- We can’t wait to diagnose and treat lymphomas. Decisions were made to support healthcare systems that affected patients, but the time has come to resume standard treatment practices safely.
- We can’t wait to support people living with lymphomas. If you can, please volunteer or support Lymphoma Canada – we need your help.

What can you do to support?
Support World Lymphoma Awareness Day this September 15th!
This September 15-30, we challenge you to take 100,000 steps in support of the over 100,000 Canadians currently living with lymphoma. This virtual fundraiser is open to everyone across Canada, so call your friends, family, and coworkers to join Laps Around Lymphoma and practice a healthy lifestyle while raising funds and awareness for lymphoma.
Dealing with lymphoma can be overwhelming. That is why Lymphoma Canada offers ongoing support for patients and their families. Empower the lymphoma community by supporting Lymphoma Canada with a donation to support patients both during and after the pandemic. Any gift, large or small, makes a difference in the lives of the over 100,000 Canadians affected by lymphoma.
During September, connect with the global community online by following Lymphoma Canada and Lymphoma Coalition and use the hashtag #WLAD2021 or #Lymphomacanada when sharing your experiences. Share via social media – change your profile picture, tweet, tag, and share your support with the world!
